It's hard to stop a player when Real M calls (Tchouaméni). It's hard to stop a player who has been groomed for half a year (Caiceido), and if Lavia would rather be a 4-5 in a medicore team that says as much about the player as the club. and this year it's not exactly easy to get a player who has also turned down, Bayern, Arsenal, ManU, and Juventus(?) LFC got way further than anyone else, he only turned it down when Real S wanted to paint him as a traitor for wanting to leave. I get that they should have gotten someone, and they did. Endo has punched far above his price. And then they can come back for the right 6.
@Nightsu any situation where Maguire and Evans start ain't great. Casamiro is winding down, and an underperforming central striker is currently injured 🤷
for newcastle botman and lascelles are both injured so their main concern is getting either Guehi or another much stronger CB to cover as they both have ACL injuries which we all know is a frustratingly long heal. Nothing against Kelly because i think he's absolutely excellent but as you mentioned main concern for newcastle is injuries, if any further injuries come along you've got Kraft coming back as a CB and it's just playing out of position lower-quality players in your defense which is not a good look
Now this is the kind of content I like as I can thrown one of these into a conversation about football and sound like I know what I’m talking about for once. As in the classic It Crowd episode.
thank you JJ for putting it straight on the Toon, we are very confident going into the season, something most youtubers and pundits are failing to understand
Couldn’t be more right about Utd. We could be 2-0 up and look shaky whereas city could go down 1-0 in the first 5 minutes and you’d think wow they are gunna go up a gear and blow this team away
Re Villa. Newcastle didn't struggle because we were in the Champions League, we struggled because we had the worst injury crisis in the club's history and a 10 month gambling ban on our star signing. When we could rotate we were great. If Villa avoid an injury crisis they should be fine.
Disagree a bit with the rotation issue at Arsenal. Sure, the players need to rest and rotation, but there’s clearly a skills gap between the starters and many of the bench players. Nelson and Nketiah just don’t hold the level. They’ve had chances to improve but not taken them. I can’t really blame Arteta for not picking players who clearly aren’t competitive, which is why they’re now being made available to the market.
Everton’s one should be to play more expansively. In short- they need to have more about them going forward, if Ndiaye and lindstrom can perform they will finish mid table comfortably
a lovely 27 seconds on wolves where they say that that problem is not a problem anyway! west ham should be fine financially low wages, get paid off by arsenal a nice chunk each season and they will sell kudus, paqueta or someone else when needed, probably kudus
Chelsea’s squad won’t be that size, well loan 5 more players and sell 5. 3/4 are u21 players. The main issue for us is our CBs/keeper I don’t trust any of them

I do wonder why people don't wait until the transfer window closes before making predictions. If Arsenal sign a forward and Liverpool a DM it could change things massively.
5:05 You're already outdated; Brighton is very close to signing yet another winger, Brajan Gruda from Mainz; almost a done deal with a Fab 'Here we go'.
they have spent 95 million on AWB, killman and Tobido to fix that tbf. I think the issue is the transition from defensive football to attacking football
What's Pep is cooking after selling Alvarez to Atletico ? Because he was the only viable alternative to Haaland after trying so many false nines in the previous season
When did Joao Felix start being considered a bad player…? I really don’t get this. Did a loan to Chelsea and Barca take away everything he’s done before that? He’s 24 ffs. A fallout with Simeone dom’t take his qualities away from him.
I can’t believe how much the pundits and content creators think Liverpool is guaranteed top 4. We’ve seen before that once a patriarch leaves like Sir Alex and Wenger that there is a lull for a bit. The team is lacking in midfield, defence is older, etc. they’re going to get burnt out again.
There are enough midfielders, only 1 more 6 missing but there is Endo and other players can also play there. Defence is older? Aside from Van Dijk, there are Quansah, Trent, Konate, Bradley etc. not exactly old.
Nah I loved Klopp and would much rather have him than Slot but that squad is top 4 barring injury problems. Best GK in the league despite the dodgy kicking, VVD back to his best last season, good cover in midfield and Mo and Jota up front. Besides MC and Arsenal I don't see any other likely teams getting above them. The following season might be more of an issue I think but Slot can live off Klopp's good work for now.
Regarding the "Chelsea have 42 first team players" narrative we keep seeing I just thought I'd do my best to dispell that quickly. Just by having a cursery glance at Chelsea's squad on Transfermarkt the following players have already been noted as not in Marescas plans at all, most are set for moves away but regardless none of them are training with the first team: - Kepa (Being sold, hasn't even set foot in Cobham in over a year) - Betinelli (Auxillery keeper, not in anybody's thoughts regarding the actual first team) - Bergstrom (Academy Keeper, not in the first team) - Trevoh Chalobah (Set to be sold, not training with the first team) - Bashir Humphreys (Academy player, set to be loaned/sold) - Connor Gallagher (About to be sold) - Casadei (Not training with the first team, about to be sold) - Omari Kellyman (Plays for the U21s) - Tino Anjorin (Already left on loan) - Diego Moreira (Already sold) - Angelo (Set to be loaned) - Lukaku (Being sold, hasn't set foot in Cobham in years) - Broja (Set to be sold, not training with the first team) - D.Fofana (Set to be sold, not training with the first team) - Deivid Washinton (Plays for the U21s, not training with the first team) Thats a minimum 15 players right there, and there could easily be more. Suddenly Chelsea's squad is 29 players, on par with most other clubs and a perfectly normal number. In 2019 under Abramovic Chelsea would regularly have 40+ players out on loan alone and nobody would bat an eye. This "42 players" narrative just feels like a new beatstick for people to latch onto without doing any research into the situation.
The vast majority of the media have been extremely lazy and ignorant with Chelsea in general. Along with the actual squad size, they seem to forget Chelsea finished 6th last season, just 5 points shy of 4th and were the 4th best team during the second half of last season, but act like they finished 12th again. Not saying Chelsea look amazing by any means but they definitely have the tools to finish in the top 4, which people just want to be blind to and pile on lazy agendas.
@@sofus47 Chelsea had twice this number of senior players under Abramovic. 40+ were going out on loan every year without even taking into account the first team. Nobody said it was irresponsible and foolish then, why now?
